Ernie Mota.
I got into AI visibility because I needed it and could not hire it.
Customers had started asking ChatGPT and Google's AI for recommendations instead of scrolling through search results, and I wanted my own businesses named in those answers. I could not find anyone doing that work, certainly not here. So I learned it: how assistants actually read a site, what structured data they trust, why a handful of businesses get cited and most get skipped entirely. I did it for my own businesses first. Then for other people's. Most agencies are still selling the playbook that worked in 2019, and that gap is why Brenro exists.
I am also on the other side of this. My wife and I co-own an eBay store and KPC Vault, so I have sat where my clients sit: getting pitched, being quoted a retainer, and trying to work out whether any of it was going to produce an actual customer. It is a useful place to have sat.
Small business is not a market segment to me, it is the environment I grew up in. My father opened an auto repair shop in 1987 and still runs it, and from 2007 to 2011 I managed a shop and handled its marketing. That is where the writing on this site about repair shops comes from, and more usefully, it is where I learned what a slow month feels like from the inside.
I moved to the Coachella Valley in 2011 and it has been home since. Marketing built for a city with twelve even months does not survive a season here. The snowbirds arrive and everything looks fine, then summer lands and it does not, and a plan that ignores that will fail in July no matter how good it looked in February.
Most of the businesses I work with are in one of two places. Either they have no website at all, or they have one nobody can find: no search presence, nothing an AI assistant can read, no way for a customer to arrive except word of mouth. Both are fixable, and neither one requires starting over.
The rules here are simple. I will not make things up. I will not bill you for work that does not help your business. You will see what was done and what it produced, in plain language. If I would not spend the money on my own business, I am not going to spend yours.
What I write about
I write everything on this site. Most of it lands in one of four places: AI visibility and GEO, local SEO and Google Business Profile, ad measurement, and websites that convert. It is all on the insights page, grouped by what you are trying to fix.
