Privacy at Brenro.

Brenro collects two things: what you type into the contact form, and anonymous statistics about which pages get read. We do not sell personal information, we do not run advertising or retargeting pixels on this site, and we do not build profiles of visitors. This page says exactly what happens, in the same plain language we would want.

What we collect, and why

When you fill in the contact form. Your name, business name, email address, whichever service you pick from the dropdown, and your message. We use them to reply to you and, if we end up working together, to run the project. Nothing else. The form is handled by Formspree, which receives the submission and forwards it to our email.

When you just read the site. Anonymous usage statistics: which pages were viewed, roughly where in the world the visit came from, what kind of device and browser, and which site referred you. We use this to learn which articles are worth writing more of. It is not tied to a name, and we cannot identify you from it.

When you use our free scan tools. Both of them start with the website address you type in. At scan.brenro.com that is the whole story: it never asks for your email or any personal detail to return a result. At access.brenro.com the summary is free on the same terms, but unlocking the full accessibility report asks for your first name, last name and business email. Those reach our inbox through Formspree, together with the address you scanned and the score it got, and we use them to send you the report and to follow up about fixing what it found. Your IP address is checked for a moment to stop the form being flooded, and is neither stored nor passed on.

Automatically, by our host. Vercel keeps standard server logs, which include IP addresses, for security and to keep the site running.

Cookies this site sets

Two analytics tools run here, and only one of them uses cookies.

CookieSet byWhat it doesHow long
_gaGoogle Analytics 4Tells returning visits apart from new ones2 years
_ga_PM4MJ4CE4XGoogle Analytics 4Keeps track of a single browsing session2 years

That is the complete list. There are no advertising cookies, no social media tracking pixels, and no third-party fonts: the typefaces are served from our own domain, so loading a page does not tell anyone else you were here.

Our second analytics tool, Cloudflare Web Analytics, is cookieless by design. It does not set cookies, does not fingerprint your browser and does not track you across other websites.

Who else processes your data

We keep this list short on purpose. These are the only outside services involved, plus one tool of our own that takes contact details:

ServiceWhat it handlesWhy it is there
Google Analytics 4Page views, device and browser type, approximate location, referrerTo see which content gets read
Cloudflare Web AnalyticsThe same, without cookiesA cookieless cross-check on the numbers
FormspreeContact form submissions, and report unlocks from access.brenro.comTo deliver both to our inbox
access/lens, our own scanner at access.brenro.comFirst name, last name and business email when you unlock a full report, plus the address you scanned and its scoreTo send you the report and follow up
VercelHosting and server logsTo serve the site

Google uses your IP address to estimate a rough location and does not store it in Google Analytics 4. Each of these companies processes data under its own privacy terms.

How to opt out

  • Block the analytics cookies in your browser settings, or use private browsing. The site works exactly the same without them.
  • Install Google's official opt-out extension, which stops Google Analytics on every site you visit, not just this one.
  • Turn on Global Privacy Control in a browser or extension that supports it. When we see a GPC signal we do not load Google Analytics at all, so neither cookie in the table above is ever set.
  • Use a content blocker. We do not attempt to detect or work around them.

Your rights

Wherever you live, you can email hello@brenro.com and ask us to tell you what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. We will do it, and we will not ask you to justify the request.

If you are a California resident, state law gives you specific rights: to know what personal information is collected and why, to request a copy, to have it deleted, to correct it, and not to be treated differently for exercising any of them. We do not sell your personal information and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. To make a request, email us at the address above.

How long we keep things

Contact form messages stay in our email for as long as the working relationship or the enquiry is live, and we delete them on request. Analytics data is retained on the schedule set in our Google Analytics property, and it is aggregated rather than tied to an individual.

Children

This site sells business services and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13.

Questions, or a request

Email hello@brenro.com. A person reads it, and we aim to respond within two business days.

If we change how any of this works, we will change this page and move the date below. We will not quietly start collecting something new and leave this page stale.
